You guys and gals have got to check this group out! I just heard one of their songs while clubbing last weekend. The music is chanting mixed with techno/darkwave and a german guy talking.

I remember starting a thread almost or over nine months ago, titled and adsking the same thing. They'd swept the ADD charts at one point in time. They have two fantastic albums (The first I like better). Though every song is in German it is very enjoyable with the Orthodox chorus and the dark-vocaled lead singer.

Yes, the videos are a must to see, I especially enjoy Mitternacht and Wolfen (Das Tier In Mir).

Oh man, I guess I wasn't around the Electrogarden at the time. Yeah, this guy rocks!! So how did you find out about them? Luckily the dj at a club out in Salt Lake played Mitternacht for the last song of the night. I'd never heard it and loved it. I wonder why it is those songs aren't played over here in the States? It's not much different than Enigma except in German and ten times cooler than Enigma.

I found out about them by keeping an eye on the ADD charts and trying out the bands that show up there, therefore I am definitely not the first one here to find out about them. I don't know how everyone else knew about them enough to buy so much from them.

I have heard some songs with this band.
Discovered them just like that when I was surfing on Audiogalaxy one day some time ago, and I really liked what I heard.
I think I said something about them...

They are cool, I like the song wolfen(das tier in mir) THE BEAUTIFUL GERMAN LANGUAGE, I can´t anything else but love it.

Christina do you know what they are singing about? I'm guessing something about a werewolf in das tier in mir but what is mitternacht about? The choirs and string arrangments are amazing!

Das tier in mich means the animal in me.
Mitternacht means midnight...
But I don´t have that song, do you have the lyrics? I could translate it then...

They are such a great group....love all their stuff.

By the way, I'm in the process of trying to learn german. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way of going about that, short of actually moving to a german speaking area?

the first album is them reading excerpts from the bible in german, that is the das testament album. the other one i think is a more halloweenish type album talks about monsters and scary things. ;-)


they would be a great soundtrack to a horror movie i thinnk.

To anybody who hasn't had a chance to check E Nomine out, I played a song of theirs in my latest show at Futurepopradio (http://www.futurepopradio.com/). Sure it's a remix, but you still get to hear the basic idea of their music, as well as the really cool vocals.

I would say..go thru the phrases like hello, how are you bla bla...
Then, go thru the grammar...that´s the hardest part...read short books or articles...

Tanz mit dem teufel...means Dance with the Devil...(I am sure you know that already)! The deutsch language to me is most beautiful in song! Ahhhh...those germans have got our music down to a pure science! Tanz mit mir (dance with me) always I'd say! Nam`arie!

E Nomine is a pretty decent band! I have been playing their music for over a year now! The first time I saw one of their video's was on MTV in Switzerland and then back in the UK! They are very danceable! Good stuff! Nam`arie!
