I decided to combine Tribal/Acid Techno/EBM in one song.
The song is called, "Trainwreck." Your opinions on my new direction is appreciated.

You know what that song was about? It's about death man, it's about death... When your soul left your body while you were sleeping and you cant go back to your body anymore...

Good stuff man. I like the driving beat a lot. Tribal drums are the best.

Thanks. I am going to stop caring what people assume music should be. I am just going to move forward and keep my ears open to new music. Get influenced by every Electronica to sound of microwave.

Very cool tune. :) It totally reminded me of what Andrew Eldtritch would do if he decided to get off his ass, and do some progressive electronic music. ;)

Great job.

Thank you. I am not going to fight the fact that I write in gloomy doom style. I am going to sing and write what naturally come out.

Hmm, we did a track called "Trainwreck" a long time ago with Snog-inspired vocals when we were trying a more industrial sound. Actually it had a similar feel to your song though it wasn't as dark.

Perhaps a shorter drum intro would be warranted. Could just be me as I'm not that into drum N bass. I liked the track once it got 'going' though.

Oh, is that a Skinny Puppy sample.. "He is losing his mind" etc? That brings me back...

1. no.... it's from a famous movie.
do you know which one?
2. inspiration - which german based movie involved stories about wolves, NAZIS, & freedom?
3. If I am going to replicate an idealism, why would I replicate your idea?

By the way, Tribal is not DnB. Totally, different family.

Ah, let me be more specific. Okay, it's not a sample from Skinny Puppy but a sample that Skinny Puppy has also used in "Convulsion".

Internet says its from LSD:25. (http://www.sloth.org/samples-bin/samples/group/exact/Skinny+Puppy).

I stand corrected. I am curious though. What are the defining and differing features of the two?

LOL... Thanks for the link.
According to your link, also BioTek, Hallucinogen,Radioactive Goldfish, & Therapy used them too. So, I am not supposed to use it? Who makes up these rules for music? :)

Tribal is from House/Techno Family. Bands like Psychic Tv & many others. Actually, there is an album called, "Tribal." It uses Tribal toms conjunction with the kick.
DnB is head of his own family. Bands like Goldie, Phoetek, etc.
I don't have to explain how DnB works. I think you already know this. :)

I think you need to not listen to it for two weeks and then re-examine your thoughts on that matter ;)
