Is there anybody who know this new band calls NamNamBulu ?
Saw the guys from Switzerland last week on their first live gig in Germany. Fantastic sounds, good lyrics. a bit like Mesh i think. Possible they will be some of best newcomers next year.. The people here like their "blind?" so much,. NamNamBulu working on their first album at the moment. Maybe next year it will be release..who knows... i`m looking forward...

Yes, I´ve heard this band before, I think it was someone that posted a link to their homepage, I was very impressed.
I think I´m going to order their album, very very good songs, and great music!!
The melody is remarkable, wouldn´t call it similar to mesh, it´s a bit of their sound, but sure, there are soooooooooooome similarities, especially in the song Ignorance.
Will order the cd asap!!!

Hi;
I really enjoyed their debut release (Blind? EP) - so much in fact that I have played a song or two of NamNamBulu's on Futurepopradio (http://www.futurepopradio.com/) in the past few months. My DJing partner and I have also distributed some copies to various DJs here in Toronto and so far we have heard nothing but good things from them.
I also took great pride in hearing about their tourdates with giants like VNV Nation, Melotron, and In Strict Confidence.
I'm still a bit put off by their name, though. :)
Regards,
DJ Darktide

COuld be a lot of fun to see them live.

Aaah that´s too bad to hear.
Unfortunately I have no chance to get to my home country Germany this year.
I had plans to go there next week, but I had too much to do, so I cancelled the trip (and will miss the chance to meet Alphaville again) and I´m going to see VNV instead.
Wouldn´t it had been perfect if NNB had played ??? Hihi

I think the best chances is in the big clubs,I know about Club Tech Noir and Club Cryotank in Stockholm. There are also some clubs down in southern Sweden, I will try and see if I can find some adresses and so.

Hehehe.
Sorry Dan - I just assumed you would have found out about them from Colin. He's been raving about it for quite some time now, so I figured all you Vatikan-DJ-type-guys would already be "in the know". I may still be able to get you a copy of their EP, but I'll have to check with DJ Void before I make any guarantees.
Lemme know if you're planning to show up @ the Haujobb/Hocico/Terrorfakt show on November 4th - if I can squeeze a copy of the EP out of Void I'll be happy to give it to you then.
Regards,
DJ Darktide

Darktide,
I will definitely be going to the Haujobb show, I was glad to hear the Future Pop boys are Djing. If you have an extra copy fantastic, if not that is fine too. I think I better start paying more attention to your shows ;) By the way I like the new format.

My Op? I think NamNamBulu has a great future. I am in this business since more than 20 Years...so I am a little bit "older". but Vasi the mastermind of NamNamBulu has such a huge talent. I am impressed every day. I mean, the Blind EP was their debut ep and was finished only 6 months after they founded the band. so imagine what he is able to do next, if they have more time.
i am looking forward to!

think so too. but that is what it made it so hard for the guys the last time. some people said it can`t be their own real music, not in this short time and the qualitiy of their music is a bit to good for a "newcomer"-band like NamNamBulu. i think it`s possible for sure. They have a great studio and a lot of good instruments. Their ideas aren`t 6 month old but they realized this in this short time. i give them a big chance and said it doesn`t matter what people say, go on like this way . all did say go on and bring us more :)
greets

If they haven´t removed it the last few days, you should be able to order it from NNB´s homepage...Costs €10 I think.
Not much at all for such great music!
I ordered the EP from their site, do that aswell!! :D

Hi folks,
well, just wanted to let you know, that we are finishing up our first longplayer. It will be available in stores by march 2003, and not only through our homepage. The album will be called 'distances' and will contain 12 tracks, including 4 tracks from our debut 'blind?', which we have rerecorded.
Our new page is going to be online next week. For those interested, you can preorder the album there... just in case.
Thanks for all the nice comments that I found here. We are looking forward to some comments about our new material ;o)

hey Quitewater! I heard you lost one member off your line-up!
has his departure influenced any changes in style or whatever??
Your previous works i have heard so far are really worth money but what about the new things that stuffed up "distances"??
are they distant from what NNB is known for??

February 14th, 2003, 05:55 AM
@ 7red7:
Well thanks for your interest :o) I'll post more news as we move along. We are still working on establishing an audience in the states, but lately we have been kinda busy in order to focus on it... so any mouth to mouth propaganda is more than welcome ;o)
@ SynthezObserver:
It's true that we had to say goodbye to Stefan. But fortunately he took his goodbye at a point, where he was mainly supporting us on stage. The work we had done and still do is based upon the output of both Vasi and little-me...
As far as 'distances is concerned, I hope that we have maintained and developed what we do. We have of course been learning on the way, so technically seen, it is an improvement.
If we have managed to keep our style... hmm.. hard to tell. I'd say yes, but it is always hard to tell what color the house has, that you sit in, therefore we'll let others decide on that. We are going to put out soundclips on the new page, in that way you'll be able to judge by yourself. I hope you won't be disappointed ;o)
Rather anoying at this time, is the fact, that our second vocalist Jan, who has been with us on stage for 5 gigs, has vanished from the face of the planet. Honestly we have no clue where he's at, as we can not reach him by any conventional ways... so if anyone has happened to come across him, please let us know....
