The about-me thread -- I hate introducing myself because I sound so pathetic, but since I wasn't that active on the old EGN, I thought I'd make an effort:
Software engineer by day, musician by night...well, less so these days. Geezin' sucks (I'm 44). My bandmates are going to fire me or kill me if I don't get writing, so don't ask for samples, there aren't any -- we're "vaporware" at the moment.
I like to talk gear; music, not so much. Not because I don't love music -- I do -- I just have no idea how to talk about it (that "dancing about architecture" adage comes to mind). I still try, just complaining about how hard it is.
Single, White, Straight, Male, long dyed (purple-black) hair -- not that this is a "hook-up" board or anything, but you hot MILF's can fantasize about me. ;) :p
Oh, and I love my kitty.
Anyway, I'd like to see this board thrive, so I'll try harder to participate this time.
Oh, and before people ask me what kind of music I make -- there's really two: there's the band, which is kind of electro-goth/EBM-ish with a guitarist; then there's me solo, which is more masturbatory and experimental (think Mike Oldfield).
Here is a list of my favourite albums that I can think of: http://www.head-case.org/index.php/topic,1807.msg79136.html#msg79136 (there's a lot of non-electro in there)
