Hey Data Kidlettes. I know some of you may be familiar with this band already but then again, some of you may not be. Who am I talking about? Agency-X of course. They did a cover of "Walk Away From Love" for the "Nobody's Diary: A Tribute to Yazoo" album a while back. Comprised of Lars Wallden (Avantgarde) and davidmahr, I think that this band will appeal those of you who like their synthpop well produced and with an 80s flair. But why take my word for it, check it out for yourselves. They're gearing up to soon release their first single "Don't Hold Your Breath" which will include remixes by Ganymede, Return to Mono and my personal favorite, Pacific Mile.

Hear the song "Don't Hold Your Breath" here (along with the Pacific Mile remix): http://www.deliciousrecords.com/treats.asp
And as a special treat, I spoke to davidmahr and he gave me permission to pass along this special link: http://www.deliciousrecords.com/agency-x/separatelives_live.asp which is a video of him singing another Agency-X song, "Separate Lives".

Don't forget to sign up for DJ servicing if it applies or join the street team. :)

*gettin' down to Don't Hold Your Breath*

Very cool, Chris...I'm loving the "waste of time" mix...:) It's all trancy and dancy...

*disclaimer: i originally wanted to post who this band reminds me of but i am of the school of thought that is a pointless comparison to make and bands do indeed have their own identities*

:)

Thanks Amy and Seraphim! I had a great time doing that remix. The original was very inspiring :-)

Another piece of info about Agency-X:

One-half of the duo is Lars Wallden, formerly with the Swedish synthpop duo Avant Garde. This should be an excellent release, for sure!

Well, if I may add ...

AGENCY-X is awesome! Just listened to the tracks today at the computer lab and could not stop bouncing. This will be one of the best albums of 2002, for sure! I want this CD!!!
