Actually this is our first anniversary....

We just had the top from our wedding cake which has been frozen for the past year... believe it or not it tasted good.

Now... back to my wife again so I live to see 1 year and 1 day ;)

I was hoping that September would be like it was during August. It was COLD here at night and during the day. I was bundled up in August!!! I was in my winter jammies at night and jeans during the day. That never happens in August. :laugh: I hate hot Septembers. Ugh! It's supposedly Fall, but it's sooo dang hot! Ugh!

Happy Anniversary Dave!!! Wedding cake really is quite tasty after being frozen for a year. Of course that only works if you purchased a good tasting cake in the first place. And if you didn't, well you gotta eat it anyway cuz it's just the right thing to do. ;) Good God!!! I need to start listening to Iris. Those guys are pretty awesome when it comes to supporting their fans. You know Steph, Dan truly is the ''MAN WITH THE MASTER PLAN''!!! :)

Actually... with the wedding cake.... we were married in Salem, Massachusettes (near Boston). Her family lives in Boston. We live in Chicago. Made the wedding fun to plan -- but that's another story.

Anyways, her parents had our cake top in their freezer all year and shipped it overnight to us last week. Then we stuck it in our freezer... then we defrosted it overnight in our fridge... and then we let it set out for an hour or so before we ate it... it tasted... not quite as good as it did when we fed it to each other... but not bad at all... actually we went to a wedding Saturday night and our cake tasted better a year later than theirs did the night of. We got lucky, there's this fabolous bakery (like world famous) tied to the catering service we used. (which was all part of the package deal we got getting married at a museum)
