I was just listening to an internet radio station when I heard this great song called "Pulstar". I "Googled" it and found some info.

The song is made by "Trance Atlantic Airwaves", and is found on the cd "The Energy of Sound
", prdoucer and engineer is, among others, Michael Crétu, the genius behind Enigma.

It was released July 14 1998 on Virgin Records.

That's pretty much all I found out. I couldn't find the album at any of the Swedish online stores, and I couldn't find any MP3's.

Anyone know more about this rarity and where to find it?

It's a pretty good album. It's musically different from ENIGMA project though........... They do some cover version of a few popular songs such as: the Miami Vice soundtrack. And they did a good job by putting a different twist in it.

I would think the album is already 'out of print' now. Not sure where to find it in Sweden. If you live in the U.S though, you can find the album on www.half.com

I was lucky enough to purchase this CD when it was released!

It contains remakes of instrumental electronic classics, including the following:

Pulstar - originally by Vangelis (if you liked TAAW's version, you must do yourself a favour and check out the Vangelis ORIGINAL!)
Axel F - Harold Faltermeyer (from Beverly Hills Cop)
Crockett's Theme - Jan Hammer (from Miami Vice)
Theme from "Midnight Express" - Giorgio Moroder

And there is an instrumental track there originally done by Alan Parsons Project (can't remember which one).

Is this an officially "out of print" release? Please let me know.

I reviewed this album for the college radio station I was dj-ing at, and this is one of the worst albums I have ever heard. I thought that the “Axel F” cover was cute, but the rest of horrible and boring. I mean really boring. Listening to the album is like being stuck in a supermarket that only plays new age versions of tv theme songs.
