Greetings and salutations!
I've been wanting to get the latest Felix Da Housecat CD for some time now, but I can't seem to find it in any store here (Gothenburg, Sweden).
I don't own any Felix material but I've heard a couple o' songs, combining electronica, techno and synthpop with female "vocals".
I'd like to learn more about Da Housecat. Anyone who can enlighten me more thoroughly as to how he(?) sounds now and has sounded in the past?
As a side note, I've received the latest Strange Ways comp entitled "Strange Works 2" and it holds new material by Boytronic and New Concept.
The Boytronic track, "Pioneers (are Marching on)", is an analogue synth tune, with some buzzy vocoder lines in the chorus.
Somewhat better though, imho, is "Wild Brain" by New Concept. It's a taster from their forthcoming 2003 album "The Outer Gates". They use more guitars in this track, but that charismatic voice is still very much present as well as the romantic feeling. Great stuff!
