Here is a peek at what the premium artist pages will look like. This is now driven with mp3's and not flash and is more along the lines of what other OMD's provide. Artists - use this thread to post your feedback on these pages and check back as often as desired since Gebrauche-Musik will be the pilot premium artist which will reflect the current state of development.

The new presentation interface is integrated into the current system and will continue to get enhanced, but the basics are all there. Next, we need to develop the administration interface for the artist. Any current EGN artist that wants to convert to this new system now we can accomodate you manually. Send us an email if you are interested. We will provide a special rate for all artists that enroll during the preliminary period, before the system is formally rolled out. Your current benefits are: mp3 tracks, premium presence on the charts, unlimited mp3's.

just wanted to get a few small details clarified...
1. i've seen that only some of the songs on the gebrauche-page has a download button attached. is this selectable by the artist or is it merely because the page isn't finished yet?
2. how about the "new artists" section on the main page. is it going to be possible to see from the main page whenever new songs have been added to a page? (is this at all technically possible?).
an additional note on question 2: the reason i'm asking is because it seems to me that the tracks getting played is primarily from the new artists. but what do you do when you fx. finish a new project with your band. how do you bring attention to the fact that there is "new artist material"?. we're just about to finish a new project (which you have previously accepted to EGN), but we allready have a previous project finished and might want to get an artist page right away to present it, now that you can control the material on the page yourself. however, we would much rather have the attention of being a new artist benefitting our newest project. do you see the dilemma? this takes me to question 3...
3. what are you referring to by "premium presence on the charts"?
4. do you have to have an existing flash based page to join in on the new html-based pages at present (now that the interface isn't finished and prices favourable)?. as i have allready mentioned you have previously accepted the project, but we might want to go right ahead with the html-based page.
looking forward to your answer...

Answering the questions:
1. Download enable is the artist's option.
2. Just like the current Flash interface, the home page shows the latest tracks added to the site, this includes music from the premium artists.
3. Premium artist tracks are identified in Bold White differentiating from the regular track color.
4. Any artist accepted to EGN can have the premium AI, either immediately upon joining or after some time as an upgrade from the Flash AI.
Another major advantage to the Premium AI is that we do not apply member-only security to play those tracks. The tracks in the Flash AI are not streamable by anyone other than registered EGN members (with a few exceptions). When the artist upgrades to the paid service their music is available to anyone, anytime in an mp3 format and with as many tracks as they desire.
