I wonder where are THE NINE’ fans out there? I’m surprised to have heard very little about them being mentioned here. This is my current favorite synthpop group at this moment !!

I was just recently hooked on their “Dreamland” album. What a FINE FINE album it is !! Come on THE NINE fans out there…….tell me more about this great band.

Here I am, sorry I got sidetracked with every one else's stuff. Yeah, The Nine is an awesome band, I'm not their greatest fan but Native Anger and Dreamland both wowed me. They are the perfect mesh of Depeche Mode and INXS.

THE NINE!!

Yeahh! amazing English band
their last year release " Dreamland " is definitely one of the finest
synthpop albums today, great stuff! I also enjoy their first disc "Native Anger " especially that track called " Eternal insane "

Thanks for that interview link, CRAIG.

They're from England...... kinda unusual place to come from. Great job, guys. Brits synthpop/electro band sounds cool !!

Eternal Insane was awesome, Dreamland was a disappointment to me, i really can't tell you why, i've listened to it at least 10 times, i think one reason why is, it sounds to commercial, they have a couple good songs on there, but i really don't like it, Eternal Insane was edgy, and had great songs, one of my all time Favs.

Heyy! STEVO

you mean " Native Anger " their first album right? Cuz " Eternal Insane " it's a track.. BtW my favorite one :)
Yeahh! " Native Anger " it's interesting work too, but " Dreamland " is way better, especially the vocals and lyrics.
I think Geoff is a very good singer, and his voice is definitely one of the best in the Electro World, there's not question about it .

I love The Nine since I heard for the first time "burn you down" and short after bought "Native Anger" in 1998.

And was a pleasure work with Geoff on the Brazilian Version of "Native Anger" that have an extra track in portuguese and the original version of "burn you down", that is really much better than the remix that came on ADD release.

I still have 2 Brazilian Versions to sell if anyone is interested. Is OOP and very rare now.

cheers from Rio,

Freddy

I think that one of the reasons there's not a lot of discussion on it right now is simply that they haven't put out anything new for a while. However, I agree with everyone - they absolutely blew me away at SynthCon 2001, and I bought both their albums right then. Got 'em signed, too.

You are absoutely correct, Native Anger is the album, man, how can i forget one of my favorite albums name, it's hard when i have 100's of fav albums, and had 12 beers trying to think off the top of my head, anyways, synth/electro-pop kicks ass.

Hi!

I'm another huge fan of The Nine. Think we could well be looking at Mesh's younger brother here. These guys are more than good...

I preferred the material they wrote as 'Glasshouse'
