Just curious, it was posted a long time back on the site that a tour would follow the new album...Is this still true??? I figured Satellite to be the perfect So. Cal. location for a show, but with it's closing, that eliminates that possibility...So is there still plans to have some shows???

Yes, they will tour in support of the new CD but just like the release, it's been pushed back a bit. We already have offers for shows in CA, IL, TX, NY, and Mexico. No firm dates yet.

Anyone interested in booking C&E should contact Karen Reali at booking@causeandeffect.com

Thanks for responding Steve, I was really hoping you would...Shows in California are always a bonus, but hey I'm following the tour to every venue they play this time around, so it doesn't really matter to me...The last time I saw them live as a band, I was too young to remember any of it, so I gotta make this one count :)

I'm gonna post the info you gave here on the news forum, maybe someone who promotes or runs a club can get them some gigs :)

Hey, Camouflage & Iris will be putting out new cd's around they same time as Cause & Effect, maybe they could all 3 do a us tour in support of their new cds! A synthpop lovers dream come true concert! KJQ in Salt Lake City plays newer synthpop and might even sponsor a concert of this magnitude! Good luck guys, I will cross my fingers! VIVA SYNTHPOP!

Well that would be an awesome show, and I've already heard rumors that C&E might be doing a show or two with Iris...But I can't say for sure, I don't know the details yet :)

Man, you guys in Salt Lake City has a station that plays synthpop ? Lucky bloke !! :-)

Anyway....can't wait for those three combos too.....(Camouflage + C&E + IRIS new albums) . I'd die peacefully & go to heaven now.

I am crossing my fingers that they come up to the Bay Area in California. It would be a blast if all 3 groups or even 2 of the groups tour together. It would simply be one of the best concerts ever...and long waited.

At first wasn't going to say anything, but it's already driving me crazy. I need to know more about this station in SLC that plays synthpop. I just glanced at their website, but what's thier format? Are they an 80's station? Tell me more.
Also, I think it would great to see a C&E/Camouflage tour, but I have this feeling that Camouflage won't be touring the US. Just my sad view of the world. However, I don't see how C&E could tour without stopping by the Bay Area since they started in Sacramento and got tons of BA support for "Another Minute." "You Think You Know Her" was one of the staples on Live 105 back in the day.

KJQ was simply the best New Wave and Synthpop radio station in the Entire USA during the 80s (I moved here from California and it was no contest!) This was until they were bought out and shut down in the early 90s by corporate execs who thought they could do it better. Yes, they are NOW back with their same format as before! No, they dont just play Depeche Mode's best two songs, I have heard them play about 10 DIFFERENT depeche mode songs and even b-sides! Same goes for Erasure, OMD, new order etc etc. (plus plenty of Information Society and Cause & Effect!)
Better yet, they are now playing new songs from famous 80s new wave groups, eg. Brand New Pet Shop Boys, Brand new IMPORT ERASURE songs, Brand New Human League "secrets" and all the newer depeche mode etc. etc. They havent played underground synth, but I am on their preferred customer list where they send me questionaires on what to play and I keep saying give De/Vision, Mesh, newer C&E and Iris a try!
They are so cool, its only a matter of time, especially if C&E will come here to do a concert! Pleeeeeeeeeaze! :)
They just sponsored Morrissey here in Salt Lake, so why not C&E?
Camouflage almost came to Salt Lake a couple years ago and were very dissapointed when it didnt work out, so why not now?

yeah i remember kjq, oh the memories.........when will that format , one that is more condusive to synthpop, pop up all over the usa. hey how could i become one of the people that makes requests?

Go to their web site www.kjq.com and they have a huge section that says feedback and requests so you can tell them what you want to hear. If they like it, they might make you a member of their official feedback crew. (maybe they have that option on the web site still?) Also tell Todd at a different drum to send them some of his stuff so that they can play it when you request it. I especially think they would play newer Alphaville since they play all the other new stuff from 80's acts. Todd could probably tell us to concentrate our requests on specific stuff and it would have the best chance (De/Vision,Iris, C&E, Alphaville flame etc)
Good luck, VIVA SYNTHPOP! p.s. twin falls is a nice place, I lived in Poky for a few years and I know the area well.

Once the CD is done and sent to them, let's bug the hell out of KJQ to play some new C&E. It would be great to team up with the station for a show there.

We're going to be organizing (as dis-organized as we at the C&E camp are) a C&E street team. I welcome anybody to be a part of it and I'm open to any suggestions you guys may have to help spread the C&E word. It's still a couple of months away but keep it in mind.

Steve, I definately want to be a part of this street team, and I'm ready to help in any way shape or form I can...Pass out promos, flyers, stickers, call and bug stations to play them, tell everyone and their grandmothers about C&E's music (which I already do of course), and whatever else I can assist with...Please let me know how I can become a part of the team :D

Thanks!!!

All this talk about C&E is getting me anxious.

Anyways, I just started listening to kjq online...and it is great. Finally, songs that aren't the Top 40. It will make work go by faster.

C & E are awesome live... alhough it's been years since I've seen them they were really good, and very personable. I was able to see them as a duo and then later as a trio with information society (Back when Peace and Love was released.)

I would love to see them again. AND for that matter Insoc.

Where is Kurt now??? I hope Cleopatra isn't stifling him.

Well hopefully you won't have long to wait, C&E are going to be touring for their new album...

As for Insoc??? I don't think Kurt is with Cleopatra any lomger...In fact, I think Seraphim was telling me something about it was a bad deal to get into, and wasn't in his best interests :)
