What do people think of the new Neuroticfish album "Les Chansons Neurotiques "? It was recommended to me by a local DJ.
I was not familiar with them before this. Is the new album their best work?

Hmm... hard to say. It's great, that much I can say. If you like acts like VNV Nation, you'll like Fish, too. For sure. Can't wait for their gig in Hamburg soon, woo hoo!

It's more like Assemblage 23. You can check on www.ebmisdead.com - Neuroticfish homepage.

I think Les Chansons Neurotique is one of the best EBM releases to come out this year. As mentioned before, if you like VNV Nation or Assemblage 23, NeuroticFish is a safe bet.

No Instruments was a masterpiece, i think this is just a continuation of it, with less pizazz as they might say. i recommend both.

yeah it's ok, a slight disappointment but overall not too bad. I agree about No Instruments though, that was one of the best albums of [insert year here], I think it was 1999. things always get delayed so long before they come out in the states though...
I would personally recommend the "wake me up" single if you haven't gotten that yet, much higher quality music and danceability [if you're into that part of it]

I rarely go after EBM/hard-edged synthpop territory, BUT for somehow I ended up with this album last week. I don't know why...... :-) The cover sure looks interesting.
What can I say? Hmmm, it's EBM, so you should expect hard/stomping/stumping/grudging beats here. it took me few listenings to get used to. Overall, it's NOT a bad album.
Compare to Assemblage 23's "Failure", I'd take A23 album anyday. My favorites tracks on this Neuroticfish album are: "Reinvent The Pain" (one of the most beautiful songs in the album), "Prostitute", "Wake Me up", and "Inverse."
So, if you're an EBM fan, I think you'll need to have this album. :-)

I was kinda surprised prostitute was the single chosen after hearing the rest of the disc, but I guess they wanted something different after wake me up. Overall I think it's a very good disc, I especially like waste.
