I've never really bought any of Erasure's B-sides (which is truly sad, because they are my 2nd alltime favorite band!). What are the best b-sides? Any information would be great because I am in a cd shopping FRENZY!!

Kelly, you need to buy the "I Love Saturday" EP which includes:
"I Love Saturday", "Ghost", "Truly, Madly, Deeply", "Tragic (w/live vocal)". There are a few "I Love Saturday" CDs, but this is the one you. All 3 of the extra tracks are INCREDIBLE I Say I Say I Say era tracks. The one I have has a lot of yellow and purple on the cover, and it is a UK import.

Hello Kelly

If your interested in Erasure B-Sides and buying some CDs, you can't do any better than their four 'Box Sets', not sure if their still available, but each one features five singles, each featuring all the different versions of the single iteself - 7", 12" & remixes plus the b-sides. Four excellent box sets all superbly packaged.

B-Sides to check out...

March On Down The Line (Oh L'Amour)
The Soldiers Song (Victim Of Love)
When I Needed You (Ship Of Fools)
Don't Suppose (with banjo!!) (Chains Of Love)
Runaround On The Underground (Blue Savannah)
Over The Rainbow (Chorus)
La La La (Love To Hate You)
Carry On Clangers (instrumental) (Am I Right)
True Love Wars (Stay With Me)
In The Name Of The Heart (In My Arms)

If Erasure are your second favourite band, then who is your first?. Is their a better Synth Pop band than Erasure? :-)

Synthetic Vision is right about those box sets. They have everything (as far as b-sides go) you'll ever need. I seem to remember seeing them at A Different Drum not too long ago. Let me know if you have any trouble getting them and I'll help you out in whatever I can. Peace-out!!! ;)

I'll have to take your word for that; I've never heard that EP. The Breath of Life single is the only place I've heard that song. :)

All four erasure box sets are still available. Have seen them on cdnow, amazon and in virgin megastores. I have 1 and 2 and they are great investments considering how much you get. Much better packaging than the DM sets from a few years ago.

The box sets are the way to go, I agree. But that will, of course, set you back a few dollars. Waiting For Sex is a good single. In today's world, I believe its theme is worthwhile notion. Lately, I have been digging Don't Suppose, which is off of the Chains of Love single. Andy Bell's vocals are very alluring on this song.

As for Erasure b-sides, my all time favorite has to be "Tenderest Moments" from the Run to the Sun CDS.
Close behind it come "Ghost" and "Truly, Madly, Deeply" from I Love saturday EP.
I also agree that the Erasure boxes are a must buy. Xmas is comming, so treat yourself to some nice Erasure boxes... ;)

kellyrenee, we would get along FAMOUSLY! My favorite band is Erasure, with Depeche Mode as an extremely close second! Where are you from?
I am in northern California.

Try to stay away from "Like Zsa Zsa Zsa Gabor", and "No G.D.M.".
Probably the only 2 Erasure tracks that I'd rather do without. ;)

ERASURE has very, very good B-sides, pretty much they are all good!! I like to collect their 12" records, sometimes they have more mixes than the regular cd maxi singles!!

what do you guys think about "searching" and "tell it to me"...IMO they're pretty good...although no the best...but they are a sign of good things to come from Erasure in the future! :)
