I shouldn't have written anything but what i have already written.Doesn't anyone believe in what they do too?
I believe that a great deal of music is made by who it should have been made by.
However, certain hats belonging to certain musicans, should have been worn by other musicians.

I guess the whole "should have" should have been "would have". I'm proud of my own writings, I was just curious if others felt the same empathy for the song writers I did. Not the "I Could have done that", or "that should have been me" comments. I agree with your closing statements.

I do not think it is particularly unusual to hear an inspiring piece of work and think that it would have been great to have been a part of it in some way. When I hear 'Upstairs At Eric's' I sometimes think, I wish I wrote that..does not mean I do not "believe" in my own work. Nothing wrong with a little escapism every now and then.

No, I would not call "I Want To Live" synthpop, but I would definitely call it an amazing song. I really love that song. It is nice to see a song like that mentioned, because so many people are unaware that it exists.

i guess their music is not synthpop, although it's synth-based...but i just had to throw that song on my list anyway. i didn't discover them until many years after that cd came out, and i swear...it's so good, it sounds like it could be brand new, even now. I'm glad someone else appreciates "I Want to Live."

You Think You Know Her, is an awesome pick, i can totally relate to that (except, the books she read), one song that stays in my little brain is "Burning Heaven", by Point Of View, this song is full of thought and emotion, man, a totally great song, how do these people do it, i can see where they get the idea, but how to put it in such a great song, whoooooa, it's beyond me, great song.

This World Of Water
These waters have frozen
Can't break the ice no more
It's raining so hard now
Can't seem to find a shore
World of water
Where you swim for the other side
World of water
But you're swimming against the tide
This all goes so much deeper
Than some would like to say
Soaked in this world of water
Until it's washed away
Chorus:
World of water
Where you swim for the other side
World of water
But you're swimming against the tide
World of water
You can drown but you still survive
No colour no feeling
No time to sit around
No living no dying
No one here to be found
No entry no exit
I like to be beside the sea
The tide comes in once more but
I'm safe on higher ground
The water here still rising
It's come to drag me down
