um.. i wouldnt say that, but they are definately very talented in the respect that they can define a unique sound to go with and not worry about the mishmash of this crummy "scene" and by that i mean all of the hype in the world today, every electronic genre's "scene" has anyway. the point im trying to make is there is no point, theres only music.

i know i may make fun of god module for being fat and everything, but i completely dig their remix of "perfect sunrise".
hehe :p

btw... http://www.stromkern.com

Are you sure it's not Blank's "Red Dawn" remix? There's some serious misprints on the Perfect Remix CD liner that swapped those two, and swapped the ND remix with the B-side (although that one's easier to figure out).

Blank's supa-techno mix knocked me outta my chair...it just blows me away every time. It is, IMHO, the best remix on the disk.

MaxMode, weren't you the one who asked who Stromkern sounded like? Heh, see? I told you they didn't really sound like anybody else. It's good to see more people discover this cool band. :)

Heard a couple of songs on some compilations which were OK.

Then got the album... Thank god I had my discman with me that day. It was gracefully returned to its previous location at the store's shelf 45 minutes later. Just couldn't get it, I guess.

I feel very similarly to my old friend "synthfrog" (who doesn't email or call me anymore, hey big guy, where've u been?....) with regards to Stromkern.

The first couple of tracks were cool, but the novelty soon wore off and every song blurred into the next with no discernible melody or hook to sink my teeth into. I even gave it another golden opportunity days later to impress me, but to no avail. Ya, Ya, it's original and unique (rap/industrial hybrid,) but that doesn't necessarily translate into a listenable product.

Someone kindly explain the mystique behind Stromkern. I'd much rather spin my copy of State Of The Union's debut record. Talk about a stunning newcomer...

I think you either love it or you don't...there's not a whole lot of grey area. I'll admit that most of "Flicker" didn't do much for me, but "Dammerung" and "Armageddon" I found much more to my liking.

Yeah, I wasn't huge on Flicker either. It had its moments. But obviously, it was early work, and they've matured into a pretty wicked-assed band.
