Well, are they? What is the connection to the Goth culture?
I keep seeing lots of references to being a Vampire or wanting to be or whatever. And, there are whole large sites with hundreds of thousands of members like VampireFreaks.Com. So are all those Vampires or wannabes?
I just don't have the full picture.

If I understand your question correctly, then I would say yes.
There are people out there that do drink human blood in one way or another. And, there is a Vampire culture that exists. I do not think that these people live in a castle at the top of a remote mountain, but I bet they would love to. :)

I'm going with Erick and say No. :)
What i would agree to is there are people who are totally demented and think they are vampires and possibly even do those LARP's and get "into" the character of a vampire with all the blood drinking, etc...

I would say that there vampires are not real, but people that try to imitate them to the best of their ability are.
BTW. What are LARP's?

i dunno. i remember seeing some show where they had these vampires that were also into devil worship and talked about their voodoo skills. it was pretty convincing.
