By far the best work Spielberg has ever done. It was absolutely riveting from the opening shot to the ending. I wont say anymore... (it would be a crime for me to spoil it for anyone.)

At first it would cover a lot of the same ground as "A.I." but it was compeltely fresh and unique.

So.. tired... umm... Trust me... just see this movie. It was by far... a lot better than Star Wars, LOTR... etc etc.

I gotta see it again next week.

I'm going to agree big time. What an awesome story line. Wow. Outstanding writing. And that's the least of what's great. Visually cool. Decent acting, nothing spectacular in that department but it wasn't required.

Visually, again, both as far as FX goes AND details such as the "Eye Clinic". Great, disturbing, but great.

Of course... as a side note... without ruining anything.... they're expecting us to buy that they wouldn't have access control in place to stop his eye from being a viable means of entry to THAT secure of an area when he's on the lamb?? NO! Suspended my disbelief on that one.

Loved it. Went out by Napertuckey to see it and saw how you suburbanites enjoy your movies. LOVE the raised seating, great place to see a movie. I think we have one theatre downtown that's like that but I don't frequent it.

Okay, I'm going to rain on the parade a bit. I liked the movie, but I felt the ending was WAY too Hollywood-esque in so many ways. It apparently went the complete opposite of the way the story(of the same name by Philip K. Dick) went. And the plot was somewhat questionable at a few points-not really explained that well. I give SS big props for naming the 3 precogs after three of the greatest mystery writers every, which was a very cool small point.

I saw it this weekend also. What, did all of us Chicagoan's see it at the same time?:p I really liked the fact that the "villains" didn't bash you over the head with right vs wrong morality. Each had an agenda, but it all works within the context of the movie. And cliffwalk - you should try Barrington AMC 30. Raised seating, reclines, the armrests are padded. Deeelux - Not to mention amazing sound and a really big screen. whee!

SOOOOOO not better than LOTR! (that's just -MY- opinion)

It was different..... in a good way of course!

LOTR was a break-through for films of the fantasy genre! This movie was more along the lines of a sci-fi thriller like the Matrix, etc.!

I would expect that you would like LotR more based on your choice in avatar and the fact that you are from middle earth.

Anyway... I still think Minority Report is the best movie to come out in the last 12 months at least and not just the sci fi genre.

While I thoroughly enjoyed Minority Reports there were quite a few flaws with the logic behind it, gaps in the storyline, and several minor things that just irritated me.

But god damn it was sweet looking.

That's cool! To each his own! I just think the LOTR books and movie(s) will speak for themselves!

If you haven't read the books (Tolkien), which by the way, I've also read Minority Report, I just find the Trilogy better! Even though Part I didn't portray the book in it's entirety, it was still
brilliant and complete for a fantasy movie!

Minority report was good, but in my opinion...PT is just an opinion....just not the greatest when judging on all factors!

By the way, I LOVE MY AVATAR (literally).......... HAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Dayo,

I saw it at the Warrenville AMC 30. Comfortable place to see a movie.

The flaws in the logic:

My big question was very obvious. It's common sense. Would all access control for the main character be turned off as soon as he became "the bad guy"... YES? Would he still have access (even if it's Biometric) to a highly secured area? NO. End of his ability to do what he did with the Precog....he goes back into Halo.

I thought that was a HUGE stretch. The rest wasn't as hard to suspend except maybe that such a sub-human treatment of three individuals would ever make it past our culture. I don't ever seeing that happening. Too powerful of a humanist contingency.

I figured they would leave him with access... so he cold come back in and they could catch him. It would ave worked if not for that sewer hatch.
