the funniest thing about this group is that they were probably known by maybe more or less 20 people before it was aired in a commercial and then noticed by mtv and radio to get regular airplay, yea. so with that being said, personally, i hate their hit song, as far as the rest of the album, i wouldnt know i didnt care to pick it up. -ravn0z

ok sgx, did you even bother to read my post or did you just see this -> "i hate their hit song, as far as the rest of the album, i wouldnt know i didnt care to pick it up." ??

seriously man, you need to chill out and maybe even read the first part of my post before you start to judge people on their PERSONAL ¤¤¤¤ING preferences.. thanks for the thoughts though.

i first learned from rob, who dirty vegas is. The next week was the album release, but by then I have seen Two versions of the video as well as heard almost all the tracks. Regardless it is a good CD.

I don't know but has anyone else noticed that "Days Go By" sounds awfully reminiscent of "I Feel Loved"...?

Hi,

I've ordered a copy of the DIRTY VEGAS CD from Amazon, I can't wait to check it out, as I was impressed with what I've heard so far. I also got ZOOT WOMAN's CD, which I'm really getting into, along with ORBITAL work Compilation CD. I'm waiting on Simulator's CD to arrive from ADD. Quite a bit of listening yet to do .... :-)

Hmmm. so much talk about this band. I see the CD at Best Buy all the time. I have no idea what they sound like. I never watch MTV, so I haven't be exposed to their music. Guess that's good..right? I'm thinking of picking it up since many are raving about it. Guess I'll be the one that will make an opinion of the music without the help of MTV. :-)

OMG! I really hate the mainstream sometimes. So I'm driving out to Tucson last night and I hear an "alternativey acoustic" version of "Days Go By". What the hell?!?! It sucked and ruined the song for me :-(

I like their stuff. I have the Days Go By single, and a few remixes they did. The remix they did of Madonnas Die Another Day is good.

Its nice to see house music getting some play on MTv also. Thats the first step to getting synthpop, or any dance music into the main stream.

I enjoy them a little, but there's not really much to be said about them. They're just standard 'electronica', as the media puts it (think Crystal Method, current Moby, Chemical Bros, etc). It follows a basic formula, and doesn't really break much ground.

And don't think its so special that Mtv plays a dance track, every so often. Its MO of them to let one slip through, every year or so. If you want to be technical about it, they played a lot more house-y tracks in the early 90s (think Snap, KLF, Black Box, etc).

Then again, part of me doesn't want to see Miss Kittin on Mtv, no matter how ironic it would be...
