Well...it was not like that in the beginning. hehehehe. Took alot of work on my part to get her into the scene, but now she really enjoys it and has met a lot of friends in the scene as well.

She's more into Bjork, Lush, Curve, Tori Amos,...etc etc. ...but she IS a huge DM fan. She's knows way to much about that band. hehehe.

hmm...wonder if she will read this. She does come in here from time to time. She's LUNASPACE, if you ever see that name around here.

My Avatar, eh? Well, this week it's a Hedgehog. Specifically the hedgehog in Yuri Norstein's "Hedgehog in the Fog", don't worry, I don't really expect anyone to be familar with it or him. I love hedgehogs, I had one for a pet once. People even say I look like a hedgehog because of my spikey hair. See, not so mysterious at all. Though I do change my avitar quite regularly. Usually it's something to do with some band that I'm listening to at the moment.

Although you didn't mention me in your list I'll explain my avatar.

Since many people choose avatars which are related to electronic music I thought it would different and refreshing to take something else. So I chose a pic of Hägar the Horrible because I simply love the comic with its subtle humour. Dik Browne's comic very often (not always) refers to the real life which attracts me somehow. And Hägar always makes smile when I had a bad day of course.

Yeah, it's the Guyver Unit #III from the anime/manga Bio Booster Armor Guyver...or just The Guyver. :)

Evangelion rokks. Have you seen the "Death:Rebirth" movie? Quite violent. The bad thing is, I have the entire series on VHS but now that I have a DVD player, I have to buy them all over again. I also need to get Robotech series on DVD as well. YAY Anime!

Bah, Death and Rebirth are painfully boring if you've already seen the rest of the series. But End of Evangelion is possibly the greatest thing ever. It whips so much ass it's unbelievable. It's wierd, I was not really into most of the Eva battles in the actual episodes, but Asuka ripping on the big white angels in End of Eva is just badassed!

Ok you asked for it ...

The story behind the B.C. pyramid.

B.C. is for my initials, Bobby Clark. When I first started doing electronic music, it was in the ambient instrumental genre, similar to alot of the stuff by Jarre, or Vangelis, or Enigma. I chose the name B.C. because it has a sort of ancient Egyptian flavour to it, and naturally this progressed to the pyramid itself.

I originally designed the logo back in 1997 on my old Atari ST, then as my music progressed into the Amiga community and I started doing MOD music, a friend designed me a new pyramid on his Amiga.

Fast-forward to 2001 ... and my good friend Dan Burke (aka NukleoN) who is responsible for the Y2K1 design of the new B.C. pyramid avatar as you see it here. You can also see the pyramid in action at my personal website, http://www.twothousandbc.com ...

Oh as for the Admin's logo ...

It is the official logo for Disband at Dawn media. The same logo which appears on the Gebrauche-Musik CD, if anyone is lucky enough to own "Preterition Aggregate". No idea what the logo means but I imagine Admin can explain that better than I can.

This is a great thread PTInc!!! I've been wondering about some of these avitars myself. Some of these people are very....uh...creative, but I enjoy checking out everyone's artwork. As you read the various posts on this forum, the personalities of the members really do match their avitars. At least that's been my observation thus far.

My avitar is very simple. I've been a distance runner and a sprinter for the past 20 years. Somewhere along the way, my friends started calling me "cheetah" and I've kept that nickname ever since elementary school. Unlike a real cheetah, I obviously can't run 70 mph and I don't get tired after a couple hundred meters of running. Maybe they should have called me "the horse" or something crazy like that.

Well I think I will drop in since I was one of the original people named (I feel special.. or something).

I Had a cute little red, and pink dragon I had won at a permanent carney game thats set up in a themed casino called Circus Circus here in Las Vegas: My girlfriend at the time said she didn't want it, and so I kept it. One day i was sitting around, while my Cable Modem had gone out. At that point in time I was really geeky (I'm better now I swear), and so to act as if I was doing something constructive while I awaited three days for my precious broad-band to come back to me I played around in microsoft paint. The dragon had taken up residence on my computer desk, and soon became my inspiration. Pixel-by-pixel I drew that damned dragon in Microsoft Paint. I gave the stuffed version away to my nephew last Christmas and when I was looking around the my hard drive looking for an avatar I found the picture, shrunk it down and uploaded it. I just thought it was cute.
