Someone with info on the Crüxshadows? I initially got the impression (by looking at pics of them :)) that they were a goth band, but now I'm not sure.
I've only heard the Apoptygma Remix of "Tears" which is fantastic! I realize that an Apop remix won't reveal the true sound of the band, but I found the song structure to be pretty straight forward pop.
Are they a goth band or, maybe, a mix of goth and electropop?

I think their official site should have all the information you need. I really haven't heard anything by them I particularly cared for until the "Tears" single was released. For me it was the Fictional remix of that song that floored me, I love what they did to Rogues vocals (I wish he would keep those effects on his vocals) and the song in general. Gerrit Thomas, is there anything he can't do? Even the straight forward, original version of the song in my opinion is the best thing they've done. Personally, I wouldn't classify them as Goth. I guess they would be along the lines of Electrogoth, not quite Cybergoth though. Just my two cents of course.

I actually play a couple of Cruxshadows songs at the club that are well received by the synthpop crowd:

>Marilyn My Bitterness
>Here Comes the Rain Again (Eurythmics Cover)

The Cruxshadows ...

Don't know alot about them, apart from the fact that they did a remix of the Ganymede B-side "Only Pictures Cry". An interesting take with the guitar hits and the opera singing vox in the background. Not bad, altho me personally I prefer Ganymede's original version with its melancholy.

hi, I saw then live in Berlin, Germany last MOnday. I have never listened to them so I was quite excited. It seems to be a real Gothic Band. I was so surprised to find so many people there dressed in Gothic clothes on a week day! Their music was electronic with lots of violine music. Unfortuately I could not see the whole concert as I had to go home. The concert started at 1130 pm only! :-(

Here you can see a few photos I took at the concert!
