They both seem to be the 'same' product, but i am worried that if i buy an ebay version, and it dosent work, I may end up buying a UX16 aswell and spending around £50. Has anyone had any experience with these kinds of MIDI to USB converters??? They both claim to do the same thing, but i dont know which one to buy.

The one thing to think about when buying any type of generic audio product is whether or not you will need any type of support. In the case of the two similar USB/MIDI, will they have the latest drivers included, or will you be out of luck. The Yamaha cable has the most current drivers listed on the website that you listed. Just something to think about.

I use that same one and it's working great for me.
