Does anyone think that Erasure will tour again in the next year or two? I don't recall seeing a tour for Erasure, Cowboy or Loveboat. They should be due for a tour, huh? And, aren't they currently in the studio working on new material?
WHAT IS EVERYONE'S OPINION!!?? When EVER will they tour again?????

They actually did tour Cowboy. I think because Loveboat did not get a domestic release they decided against a North American tour. Hopefully Maverick (aka Madonna) will release the upcoming disc in North America.

Actually, they did tour for "Cowboy". I saw them at Radio City.
They also did a small club tour called the Tiny Tour as a warm up. I saw them perform at Irving Plaza on the Tiny Tour. They performed several songs from "Cowboy" and a great cover of "Heart of Glass" by Blondie. They also performed a few songs from their self-titled album that preceeded "Cowboy".
I enjoy seeing Erasure live because they usually do arrangements of the songs that are different from the album version. I also like Andy Bell's on stage antics. He's quite a showman.
I am looking forward to their next album. I was disappointed by "Loveboat" and I am hoping that the new album will be more along the lines of what I enjoy. I hope that they will tour again soon.

Did anyone here see the Phantasmagorical Tour. With Vince in the tank and Andy riding around in the swan? That was an unbelievable concert. The Wild tour was great also. I have never been disappointed by an Erasure concert. it is always a theatrical event.
I heard a short while ago that they may not tour (in the usual way) they may do something more like a musical.

I saw that tour. Phantasmagorical, to this day, is the best concert I have ever seen. (Hell, Chorus is one of the best albums I've ever heard.) They did three nights for that tour here in Detroit, and I liked it so much, I came back and saw it again on the second night. Just AWESOME. The staging! The lights! The dancers! That swan. That tank. Unbeatable. If they ever put on a show like that again, I'd be the happiest Synthpop fan in the world.

I was fortunate enough to see that tour at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. I had been an Erasure fan for many years and had previously seen them on the tour for the "Wild!" album.
The tour followed the release of "Chorus" and "Abba-esque". In my opinion, "Chorus" is one of Erasure's classic albums and this was their best tour.
My favorite thing about this tour was the fantastic stage show that perfectly accompanied the set list (which was awesome). It was like a greatest hits retrospective with some old favorites thrown in for good measure.
The set list:
Siren Song
Ship of Fools
Chorus
Breath of Life
Chains of Love
Love To Hate You
Mama Mia/Voulez Vous
Take A Chance On Me
S.O.S.
Lay Your Love On Me
Oh L'amour/Yes Sir I Can Boogie
Stop!
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Am I Right
Heart Of Stone
Who Needs Love (Like That)
Stand By Your Man
The Soldier's Return
Turns The Love To Anger
Twinkle Twinkle (poem)/Star
Blue Savannah Song
Somewhere Over The Rainbow
Love Is A Loser
A Little Respect/Band Introduction
Home
Perfect Stranger
Sometimes

Did Erasure release any tour videos other than 'Wild!'?

I actually have the Phantasmagorical Tour on video it was an European release and I had it converted. I did the same with another video called Erasure Live. If I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure it was the Circus tour.

Hi
Vince mentioned Three years ago, that he will never tour again, but after "the sinking Loveboat" he might regret. I really hope they will tour again, cause Erasure are one of best live-bands in the world.
There were big plans to tour this autumn, but it won't happen, cause they decided to record more songs for their forthcoming album. They have worked on this album since August 2001 and it's the longest recording period so far in their career. I suspect that they are working on a secret project, maybe a musical as someone mentioned. Afterall I think there's a good chance to see them live in 2003.

I've seen Erasure and LOVE the kind of show they put on. It's always fun and theatrical. I've been itching to see them again. Depeche Mode was last summer. Pet Shop boys was this summer. Hopefully Erasure will make it next year. I LOVE EM!
