Hi, This is Eric 31. I'm looking for someone who would like to collaborate on a new synthpop outfit. VERY 80's influenced (HUMAN LEAGUE, OLD DEPECHE, YAZOO). I'm in the East Bay area of Northern California (Hayward) and pretty much a total beginner. This could be fun so if anyone is interested, email me. No drugs, non smoker preferably. Any color, sex or sex preference is welcome. No attitudes here. thanks.

Hey Eric...
I'm in Southern California and i want to put together something with acoustic piano (played by yours truly), synths, guitar, and record scratching a la Portishead. I want to develop a sound that's a mix between Portishead, Tori Amos, and Marilyn Manson. anyone interested in that???

Glo,
sounds interesting. good luck on finding members. you may have more luck than me. it seems like there are more people down SoCal way into this sort of stuff.
someone up here must be wanting to be in a synthpop group.
i'll keep my fingers crossed.
Still looking at KORG's?

Hey Eric,
I have no money now for Korg's, although i still go to Mars Music and play them! Have you heard Freezepop? is that the kind of band sound you want? Cheesy 80s?

Freezepop is a little too goofy for me. The sound I want to make will be very minimal. All electronic sounds. Drum machine beat, throbbing, bouncy basslines and a little melody on top of that. Female vocals if possible. Not cheesy, but fun and interesting. That's about it.

I know there has to be at least one person who would want to do a band. Out of all the Nor Cal people into this music. I really don't want to be a one-man-band deal. :(

Still searching for those souls that would like to collaborate on my new project. How about singers? I can't really sing and don't want to. You wouldn't want to hear it anyway. Any Annie Lennox or Alison Moyets' out there? Come on ladies...........

... I recommend Dan Burke (aka NukleoN). He's from the San Fran area, and his vocals are just AWESOME. In fact, I have heard some people compare him to Geddy Lee of Rush! Seriously. :) If you'd like to contact him, visit his website at http://www.nukleon.com ... and tell him you know me, you never know. :-) A lot of his music has the early Yazoo - synthpop sound too.
