Glad to hear that you're taking the plunge. I've been married to a wonderfull lady for almost 6 years now and it's just been getting better and better. Hopefully you've found the right one.

It's good to hear that she said "yes". You'll go through a moment of utter joy (like appears in your post), then maybe a moment of fear (the "what-the-hell-am-I-doing!?!" phase), then you'll go through with it because you're a stud, and you'll find out life is even more awesome than you imagined :-)

We've pretty much decided on May 18th, 2002. Hopefully Synthcon won't conflict with that.... ;)

They are another band from the German synthpop movement. Lots of fun to listen to, I think, if you like the Depeche Mode sound. Their mp3 page is www.mp3.com/strangeway

Don't know if I could get her to come out to it, it'd mean her getting on a plane again. *grin* not to mention going through bloody hell at LAX again ... but we shall see! Would be nice if they'd have a Synthcon in Nashville, TN, but there's not much in the way of synthpop out here (apart from a band called Otherness) ...

I'd love to see the next one tho. Still tryin to get her turned on to the stuff a bit (and it's working a little, she kinda likes some of the poppier stuff like AvantGarde, but not the dark depeche-mode styled stuff) ... but that's ok, I love her very much!!!!!!

That's probably the reason Red Flag's "Lighthouse" album is my favorite ... it's full of love songs, and I first listened to it in 1999, right as I first met my fiancee online. Needless to say, it's my favorite Red Flag in the post-Naive Art days.
