first of all the new anything box is so much fun!! what does everyone think of this one? it defiantely continues where elektrodelica left off but it's just INFECTIOUS!
the omd tribute is awesome too and i'll have to check out colecovision, liquid fiction and some of the other great bands i heard on that one. one question though...are the carolmasters more synthpop normally? their track was pretty acoustic and i was just wondering?
thisjust makes me more crazy for a new order tribute...i already asked but geez where can i get some new order covers!?!?

Well -
Carol Masters is more synthpop than acoustic.
Was the cover good? I haven't had a chance to check out the tribute yet...
And as for Colecovision, check out their MP3.com site.
And I'll take a big pass on the new anything box.

:woohoo:
I like the new Abox--it's a definite departure from their more traditional synthpop style, but this album is sooooo good. They've managed to put together a complete album with quality song after quality song. I'm On My Way and 65 Million Miles are great.
Of my most recent pick-ups as well,
The new Echoing Green album, Music From the Ocean Picture is really good. I think it tends to be a little short because a lot of the songs have been tweaked from earlier versions that appear elsewhere. Beautiful and Goodbye are to incredible synth songs and alone make the album well worth it.
System22 has their new album, Velocity Trip, out and it's a solid trance album. The music is catchy and the Chrissy's vocals are wonderful along with some of the "guests". The songs are quite long and sometimes a little too long--even for trance/dance. My favorite tracks from it are Released and Sunchaser.
Wish I had the time to listen to even more.

Frente's "Bizarre Love Triangle"
Orgy's "Blue Monday"
plus some guy covered "Love Vigilantes", dunno who.
But yeah we need a NO tribute. I may consider doing up my taped version of 5-8-6 for everyone to hear (it's low quality but I'd like ppl to hear it) ...

picked up all the ganymede material and i am BLOWN AWAY. this is synthpop perfection if you ask me and euromantique is my pick thus far for album of the year. i can't think of a catchier album in my collection (maybe compuphonic) and the analogue synths are just awesome...sorta like omd but not really i dunno. do yourself a favor and at least check out the samples on their website and i garantee you will want more...i did!
