I had a blast, baby!!!
This event really went well. The round table discussions were informative, the bands rocked, the DJ's played some great tunez, the people who attended were very kind, and the vibe was definitely positive throughout. I'd have to say that it was a success though it was under attended.
If anyone has pictures from the event, I'd like to see them get posted. Please add some commentary and also let us know who shot them so we can give credit.
If you need to know how to attach a photo, just see the FAQ or email me.
Cheerz,

I had an amazing time! In addition to some stellar performances, what really got to me was the sense of community and mutual respect. You could really feel the love, cheesy as that may sound.

Jet lagged the extreme......
Congratulations to everyone who had a hand in this awesome event! It was glamorous, it was ever so warm, and the coordinators should be proud!
The talent was as strong as they were nice, and I felt as if the general excitement built to a feverish pitch by the time sunday rolled around. By then I was completely blown away by the lineup, especially intact, new clear sky and elegant machinery.
I gotta get some sleep.

I couldn't make it even though I managed to get to Cali. over the weekend - my family kept me too busy and kept me out far too late to make it to the con.
I was there in spirit though.
...still sleepy from CA time to NJ time...
its 3 times worse than the sleep loss from daylight savings time.

I had an awesome time!!!
Highlights-
--talking to Paul Robb
--Confirming that Todd and Mark were not the same person (unless in a bad sitcom sort of way it was really just Todd switching outfits real quick in another room).
--getting up at 8 am to talk about music, a dream come true!!!
--discovering Soviet
--Spider/Superman!!

Personally, some of my highlights were:
Hanging out with the bands and security guard out the back door
Discovering Exhibition, Soviet, and davidmahr
Helping Dave with the ASA ceremony
Getting all sorts of free stuff
Chatting with the band management about Star Trek
Helping to get it all to go off OK!
Watching DJ Toddy Todd get all funky on the dance floor with Midihead
Let's face it, the whole thing was just groovy!

Paul Robb WAS there? Damn. I didn't know. I heard a rumour that he MAY show up but never saw him. Oh well.
Highlights for me included:
- Seeing Cosmicity at long last and annoying Mark to no end by being a drooling fanboy
- Hanging out with Steven from Intact and John from C2I. They have got to be two of the most fun people I've ever met.
- Elegant Machinery. We got to party with Robert, and hang out with all of them for a good while. Plus the awesome live show as well.
- Hanging out with the Nine. They rocked!
- Traveling 750 miles to meet Joey B who lives like 10 minutes away from me.
- Helping the fabulous Chrissy re-arrange the ADD booth and knocking stuff over while the guys from the Nine laughed at us.
- Hearing MC Toddy-Todd bust out a few rhymes for us in the lobby! (Next year we're gonna have somebody doing live beatboxing for him.)

You people ROCK!
Joey, Meg and I had a great time performing for you! I found the following to be my highlights of SynthCon (Good and bad):
> Getting a parking ticket after the valet told me it was o.k. to park out on the street. (He got me on that one. It IS o.k. AFTER 6 p.m.!)
> Meeting Jason Hallman, Meg's hubby. He's one silly individual. :loco:
> Practicing with Joey and Meg for the first time, 1 hour prior to sound check. :mortified
> Performing "Tears" with Joey improvising "can you feel" as we sang it back and fourth.
> Looking over during "Arms" and seeing Megan jumping up and down with one of her hands holding down her dress.
> Getting to meet all of the fans that I've spoken to via email. I love you all! :D
> Seeing how unforgiving LA can be....Jason and I got to see the aftermath of a shooting as we headed to get a burger at McDonald's early Monday morning. Total buzz kill. :sobbing:
> Hanging out in the lobby and laughing with everyone. Joey was doing most of the entertaining.
> Seeing Todd and Gary from back home. I miss Utah. (For those who don't know, I moved out to LA).
> Winning an award that I didn't expect to get. I feel the love! Thank you all!
I look forward to making more music for you, and continuing on our new and old friendships.
Thanks for all of your support!

Synthcon was RAD!!
I had such a blast hanging with all of you!! I also can't say enough how much fun I had rockin with Mike and Meg on stage. We had some real special unanticipated moments where we all just clicked and we could feel it on stage. It was awesome.
Although I am thinking back on how crazy and silly :woohoo: I got with some of you and am not too sure if I would do that again.
well...
WE ALL KNOW THAT'S A LIE!!! I say let's do it again!!:loco:
anyways - it was awesome. Big props to Jenz and all the coordinators... they really pulled it off well. :)
spreading hope,

Though I could only attend the final night of Synthcon, I must say I was very impressed with the stellar performances on Sunday. I also loved how everyone danced in between the sets to the great DJ picks. Also the fog and lighting was a real bonus, thanks whoever provided those. It was so strange and cool to watch all the synth freaks come out at night (myself included of course)! I am definetely looking forward to next years synthcon, only I hope next time I can attend more than just one night. I kept joking with my friend whom I went with that Elegant Machinery was not really going to perform, and then someone spotted Robert Enforsen out to me, after that I was so releaved. I was the most excited for the climactic performance of Elegant Machinery...they really kick ass!
I want to thank everyone who put this together, you guys and girls rule! SoAlive

For whoever asked if this will be happening every year: Yes, it will. I can promise that as long as Jenz, Seraphim, and I are around, we'll keep doing it every year--and hopefully making it better each time. And if we all get hit by a bus tomorrow, someone better pick up where we left off or I'll haunt all your asses from beyond the grave.
Anyway, I still can't get over how great the crowd was. The bands rocked, the DJs rocked, but what really made it work for me was the atmosphere among the attendees. People who'd paid to get in volunteering to help out, the crowd refusing to let Mark Nicholas get off the stage, the spontaneous hugs, the ridiculously overcrowded room parties... it's almost a week later and I could still babble on for hours about how wonderful everyone was. You people made this worth doing, and I hope every single person (even the ones who came all the way from Mexico, Germany, Sweden, and other foreign countries) comes back next year with all of your friends. Well, OK, we don't need Angeline back next year, I guess, but everyone else.
