View Full Version : Cosmicity Wants Your Opinion!

So, here's the thing. I'm changing the format of my live performance for Synthcon... I believe everyone will enjoy this change (I'd say more, but it's a surprise), however, it creates one technical bummer. I won't be able to take requests from the audience on-the-fly anymore. SO! In order to do a performance that makes as many people smile as possible, I'm asking for the 8 Cosmicity songs you would most like to hear. I'll be doing 10, but two are new songs that no one knows yet... so there are 8 spots to fill. Please e-mail the songs you want to hear in the next few days (if you feel like it. If you don't, maybe you could do some other nice thing for the synthpop community. Perhaps you could e-mail your favorite band and tell them you think they're sexy. Or maybe make t-shirts for you and your friends that say "Viva La Synthpop!" You could even just walk around making Atari-type noises at strangers! That'd be fun,eh? Eh?!) E-mail to info@cosmicity.com Thanks for your help, everyone!

Hey Mark,

One of my favorite Cosmicity tracks...well o.k. my FAVORITE Cosmicity track is "Awake". It's an oldie but a goodie. Hope to hear it at "The Show".

My vote also goes to "Awake", but you could discount my vote because I won't be at the show :( . Although I'm only familiar with your posts at mp3.com, "Awake" is my favorite for its emotion, colorful sounds, and dramatic effects. The song transports me back in those anxiety-filled how-could-she-like-him-over-me days.

I really enjoy your sound and unique contribution to synthpop. Keep up the good work, Mark!

I'd do a backflip if I heard "Maybe" or "Alone"(the ich liebe deutchland version).

I'm hyped to hear the new songs...

Thanks for all the feedback, gang. I really appreciate it!

There were hundreds votes for over 40 different Cosmicity songs! So, I won't be able to please everyone in just a 1/2 hour performance. The good news is, just about everything that was requested here in this newsgroup thread will make it into the show. Songs like "Alone" and "Awake" are pretty much a guarantee at any Cosmicity show, and some of the others that were mentioned like "Orange" and "As Long As It Takes" will probably make their way into the set as well. And one last reminder/warning: if you've seen Cosmicity live before, expect something rather different!

Sorry, no concerts planned for Sweden at the moment. :-( Hopefully sometime in the near future!
