Ok. So this is a synth pop forum. Synth music is the genre and synth pop is the specie. Actually I dont like that much synth music (Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre) I really like POP music, you know, easy listening, danceable MELODIC music, very melodic by the way, that is what POP is all about. So you add a synth factor to pop and you have synth pop. So I dont know if im right but aint synth pop an alternate name of techno-pop? Ok. So, i think erasure, pet shop boys, red flag, early depeche mode, cause & effect, real life, a-ha, is pure synth pop. Dont you agree?
Know any more groups as good as those?

In a lot of way, I think Forever Young was actually their worst album. It still has some fantastic memories for me, but I find myself reaching for Breathtaking Blue or Salvation a lot more often.

Prostitute is very experimental. I haven't really given it the chance to grow on me as much as I should have, I'll admit.

Whoever is interested in a good, brief and simple introduction to synthpop as a gender refer to the text of the "Too good for radio" promo by A Different Drum. Todd did a really good job on that. To me synthpop is more of a 90's word. In the 80's it was called "techno pop" in Europe. Except for DM, Erasure, Alphaville, and a few others, none of the other "80's" bands are still around; thus I dont know if they could be defined as synth bands per se since it wasn't unitl the 90's that people started calling them like that.
100% synth bands: De/Vision, Neuroactive, Cosmicity, Iris, Faith Assambly, Kie The Vez, etc.
When it comes to other great bands like Apoptygma, VNV Nation, or And One then I wonder if they are considered "synthpop". I guess it doesnt really matter because as far as I know there isn't a "synthpop manifesto" yet, thus we shouldn't worry about terminlogy.

PURA VIDA TICOS.
MY APOLOGIES: To all for having speak in Spanish. I know this is an english spoken forum and that everyone has the right to read what everybody is saying. But this is a little message to another person of my same nationality, a true coincidence!
