I've been wanting to get a good chatroom for Electrogarden but I'm having mixed feelings about it. Synthpop.net has a chatroom that people like to use so I've wondered if there really is a need for one here.

Please let me know what your thoughts are.

I personally find that the test chat you used to be far better than the one that is presently at synthpop.net.
It is far easier to use and has more features. Yet, i am sure, it is a financial question for you and i am sure that will help decide the outcome.

I'm surprised that more people didn't get involved in this discussion. I have heard a lot of people say how much they like to have a place to chat, but the poll didn't reflect that people really cared about this topic.

Perhaps many of you have plenty of other ways to converse such as AIM, ICQ, etc. Based on this poll I don't really know if it would make a difference to have a chat room here. Since a good chatroom program is fairly expensive, this is an important decision for me.

What do you think? Is it important enough? Or do you enjoy these forums just fine?

As I´ve earlier said, I think it would be a good idea with a chat here, but since so few people have reacted to this, maybe it´s better to wait with it, at least for a while.
You can always return with the question in a couple of months when the forum have been etablished,with active users and so.
