HELLO ALL!!!
Out of curiousity, Does anybody know if the transcipts of the roundtables, forums etc be available after synthcon on the website?
or better yet, will people on the web have opportunity to participate over the internet in these discussions?

The roundtables are mostly discussion groups about specific topics. So, there is no transcript planned since that would be like making a transcript of a conversation between a couple dozen people-- it isn't going to be a bunch of lectures or speeches. It will be bunches of people sharing ideas vocally.
As for internet participation, I don't think that will be happening. The great thing about the Synthcon roundtables is that a lot of people who are interested in talking "business" or "promotion" (or whatever) will all be in one place at one time and will be able to really talk through things face to face. We all get plenty of opportunity to discuss things virtually online, but rarely get the chance to just sit down together in the same room. Also, can you imagine how it would break up the flow if a guy sitting in the corner with a laptop kept raising his hand and saying, "I've got another email question I'd like to have somebody answer..."

Yeah, that would be me. I was put in charge of the roundtable topics, meant to be sort of a "business angle" of the convention so bands, labels, DJ's, etc. could cohort together and get some good ideas spread around, organize, build the scene, and feel LOVE :-)

Not a members-only thing-- everybody is invited, but I think that those roundtables might be kind of boring to people who maybe aren't into the business side of the scene. Maybe they'd rather be taking a dip in the pool with Freezepop rather than sitting around a table with a bunch of synth-nerds talking about radio promotion.;)
