Interesting........Who's Merge? Could you give us a little background information on them/him? Also the style of music Merge plays...Similarities to certain bands perhaps? :)
Also, what's the story on the Cosmicity "Pure Session" cd singles?
And last.....Is the Faith Assembly "Windmills" CD the one where it's a collection of remixed Faith Assembly songs, as well as a DVD, making it a double disc set?

MERGE -- This is a German band that ADD licensed from Bloodline Records. They play a sound that is like a cross between De/Vision and Wolfsheim. It has that nice, full, dark yet melodic sound which synthpop fans seem to love. I really like their stuff and think they'll be a hit.
COSMICITY -- The "Pure Sessions" singles are the singles which lead up to the full-length release of the new album, "Pure". It's just fun with names and helps build a sort of concept album feel that even ties into the singles.
FAITH ASSEMBLY -- "Windmills" is a collection of remixes and rare tracks. When it is released, it will be just one CD, but packaged in a 2CD jewel case, then you'll be able to order the supplemental DVD straight from the band once it is released separately, to sort of complete the set.

Todd:
This description of Merge has peaked my interest. Any chance of getting some samples to preview what they are like? I know it's hard when they don't even have a cd on your site yet but I think you did a special link before for some other bands' samples.
Thanks

WOW What a great year this will be. There is SOOO much on the way. Just from Todd. Imagine all the other labels. Plenty of stuff to keep my player warm.

To answer the question about listening to music from the labels and artists that are putting out releases:
Electrogarden is working on a Flash-based MP3 streamer for this. To have a look at what I'm talking about, go to: http://www.electrogarden.net/artists/monolithic and you will see a rough draft of what I hope will become the future of music delivery here.
Todd has agreed to be the first one to test out it's full potential, so you will be seeing or rather hearing a lot of A Different Drum artists here very soon.
Feedback please.

Thank you Synapse, I will try to wait patiently for the upcoming music on the Garden, especially for Merge.

Well, I don't think Bloodline would mind me putting up a couple of 1-minute MP3 samples, so go to http://www.adifferentdrum.com/testing.html
You can snag two small samples there.

Thank you Todd. This group sounds great. That is a very accurate description above(which I can always count on from you) and you can count on a pre-order from me when it's available.
This group sounds great!

Sir Todd-
Please tell me there will be a single for 'Messing With Love' by Echo Image. This is the single of the year thus far and will be tough to beat. Please please.

OH sorry, there won't be a "Messing With Love" single (at least not planned at this point). There are a ton of good songs on the album that would make nice singles. The two upcoming singles are a couple that fit nicely into the modern synthpop dance/club scene, so they were chosen. But that doesn't mean that others couldn't have also been just as nice as singles :-)
