Any thoughts on this new Depp flick? I am not sure. I thought that he would be the wrong cast for the lead in Pirates of the Carribean but he did win me over after some time of watching it.

It's kind of the same story here for me. I mainly like Depp in films like The Ninth Gate and From Hell so this may work out, although from the commercials for this it seems to try and lay a comedic angle on the butchering barber so I may have to wait to actually see this film to be sure of anything about it.

LOL There are so many smilies that I just can't resist. This time there was indeed an "unsure" smiley. Jeez...

i am guessing that this may be very good. he is real good in some roles and i have a feeling that this will be one of them. remember scissor hands movie. he is perfect for those characters.

I got invited to a screening last Thursday in NYC and I'll probably catch a lot of slack for saying this but it was better then the Broadway show (IMO). I saw the Patty Lepone run of this on Broadway a few years back and while she and the show were great; this movie version really brought the story to life. All the nuances of the story line came to life and all the main actors really gave great performances - Alan Rickman, Johnny Depp and even (whom I'm typically not a fan of) Helena Bohnam Carter. I can only describe is as Nightmare Before Christmas for adults :) I'm also just a huge Tim Burton fan; i love his style - I thought it was the perfect combination; great story, brilliant actors, cool visuals by Burton... I don't know if anyone else could have put together better honestly.

Yeeeaazz. This will be one cool movie. I envy Electroswank for seeing it already :)
I will be seeing it asap cause I love quirky cool stuff like this. I mean like I am a huge fan of Ed Wood (speaking of Tim Burton and all) for goodness sakes... aahahahahaha

This should be pretty good as long as it is not overly satirical. I would like to see some tasty butchering :)/
