Blade Runner -- I have multiple versions of it on VHS, laserdisc, and DVD.

That's a tough one, is it possible to have only one favorite movie of "all time"? I could do perhaps a top ten, but I'd be hard pressed to pick one that shines out over all the others.

I probably don't have just one either, but I would have to say that "Kiss of the Spiderwoman" with Ralph Julia and William Hurt is definitely in that top 10 list.

For me there is more than one but for the sake of this thread I would go with.

To Have and Have Not Humphrey Bogart, Walter Brennan, Lauren Bacall

Yeah, I know its old but hey there was no time frame given.

Actually, your answer fits well within the time frame given: "...of all time".

I don't have favourite songs, I don't have favourite albums, I don't have favourite bands, but for some reason, I have a favourite movie. My reasons for not being able to pick those should apply to movies, too (too different, incomparable, depends on mood, etc.).

Ok, so I also really like Repo Man, which is still old, but a lot more recent than the Bogie film.

I am also a fan of older movies and really like Mutiny on the Bounty with Marlon Brando. For something more contemporary I would choose Kingdon of Heaven.

I just watched the final cut of Alexander by Oliver Stone and must say that it was very good. Good enough to get into my top 10 list for sure :)

It's really hard since I have a couple of movies I love to death. But just one movie would be Gattaca. It has everything. And it has Jude Law.

If I can cheat, I would add the Guy Ritchie movies Lock, stock and two smoking barrels and Snatch...And Pan's Labyrinth of course. And Something's gotta give.

Yey.

I have to go with Repo Man too. I am surprised someone else did actually. Great movie - several layers of story...

the best part of that movie was seeing all the hiding of brands where when they are in stores products on the shelves are just all white with blue text of what it is and brand name hahaha

beer is just beer
cereal is just cereal

Actually, another one that I really love but forgotten all about is The Trial with Anthony Perkins. Great, great film.

I've seen that film. It sort of like 1984 but with a different twist and its black and white. But you are right, it is pretty intense :)
