Portland

This is a band from Denmark I believe. Scottym from here had pointed them out to me in another thread and I finally got a chance to listen. They sound pretty good.

I really like Portland, I checked them out after someone mentioned them on S44. Good stuff.

They've been around for pretty long now. They we're regular performers at just about every dm-party in Denmark some years ago. Their first record "The World Is Creative" came out in 2002, and I remember they amongst other things played on a big television show in connection with the finale of Robinson (the Danish version of Survivor). Don't really think the record was much of a succes though, cause the label folded shortly after. But they're pretty good.... VERY dm-esque.

I also like Portland. I first heard them with "Stalking and Free" and got the album inmediately. The retaliation mix of "let me get what I want" is worth the price of the CD

i just got "eyes of a stranger" and was pleasantly surprised, it's pretty good. the amazing thing about it is there are moments where they literally CHANNEL depeche mode, it's bizarre (like in "i sometimes wish" around 2:05)
