The Canal Pop WTTD thread

I'm currently recording an album so I thought it was a good idea to start some form of online diary about the process. We're recording 12 songs + 2 b sides and we're shooting a video clip for one of the songs so I'm pretty busy.

The temptative name for the album will be "Welcome To The Dream".

We've recorded a new song last week, but we still have to add some backing vocals to the final chours. The song is called "If You Are Like Me" and you can listen to it at

It should start sounding automatically... You have the lyrics there in case you care. It is not available for download because it's unfinished yet.

BTW these are people that will appear at the video clip, at the vestuary tests... I'm the one behind the signs...

This is me holding one of those screens for reflecting sunlight... I really doubt pop stars have to do this... The guy next to me is Diego Adler, the video director. The cameraman was Pepe, who filmed dozens of videos for all kinds of local bands.

Well Gaby came this week and we recorded a new song called "Cool In Japan" (reference to "Big In Japan" intended).

It's a story about a guy (well, probably a girl) who's out of fashion everywhere but he/ she doesn't care because he/she's cool in Japan. It is somehow related to the fact that my former project Plastic Orgasm People sold more CD's in Japan via CD Baby and other pages than in my own country...

I'll post the song in a few days... There are some vocoders I have to record yet...
