Anyone remember recording on 2" 24 track machines?

Remeber these recorders? Studer and MCI, etc. I sort of miss the warmth in those analog machines. Digital has a nice sound but there is just something about recording on a machine that is as big as a laundry dryer :).

I do indeed and you are spot on about that analog tape sound and feel.
And not just 2" tape since it is the same across most of the older pro tape recorders including the 1" tape group like the Tascam 16 track that I can remember clearly for one, lol True for both at 15 and 30fps.
