I have two mackie c300 speakers with the amp, a Shure Sm58 radio mic, and a 16 channel soundcraft mixing desk. Can you recommend a good vocal effects box that will give me a bit of reverb? I will be performing in Restaurants, clubs etc.

How about this. Get a small Peavy practice guitar amp and just use the white knob that says Spring Reverb. Just sing through that and enjoy the realistic reverb sounds in your environment plus you can use it to practice your guitar licks at home.

There are a variety of high quality units available at relatively cheap prices there days. If you are looking for a rack unit, I would suggest checking out these:
TC Electronic M350
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/M350/
Lexicon MX200
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MX200/
Or if you are a solo performer, maybe a floor unit, such as:
DigiTech Vocal 300
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Vocal300/
TC Electronic VoiceLive (kinda spendy - but drool-worthy)
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/VoiceLive/
Or look into these:
http://www.zzounds.com/item--TCECREATE
http://www.zzounds.com/item--TCECORRECT
For what it's worth, I use the DigiTech Vocal 300 & a TC Electronics Voiceworks.
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
