Girls Gone Wild Signs On With Jive Records For New Comp Series
Every parent's worst nightmare, the Girls Gone Wild franchise, has just inked a deal with Jive Records to release a series of compilation CDs. Billboard reports that Mantra Entertainment, the company behind Girls Gone Wild, will sell the comps at retail stores, via direct marketing campaigns, on-campus appearances, and infomercials. No release date been announced as of yet, but the company's first release will feature "a mix of tracks by chart-topping artists and old school party songs," Mantra chairman Joe Francis said in a statement. He added "it's the perfect mix of tunes for barely-legal, über drunk teen girls to shake their boobies to." Well, he said that second part a little differently - "The Girls Gone Wild compilations will capture the spirit and youthful party lifestyle that the Girls Gone Wild brand has come to signify" - but it means the exact same thing. Mantra is not stopping there either. They are working with MGM on a GGW film project. They also have plans for an apparel line, and a restaurant chain.

I can think of so many better things to spend money on, I am sure you all can too. *sigh*

really... i can't belive this.
what kind of discussion was that? "hmm, should increase the budget for a&r to find a real band or make some money exploiting women? hmm."
and let me tell you those whores who agree to be taped doing those things aren't any better. They've all set the women's liberation movement back about 40 years, IMO... please dont get me started.

That crap is for girls who think they have to spend all their time primping themselves to impress the opposite sex. If they don't have any self esteem I think they might as well go and buy that stuff. Maybe it will make themselves feel important.

Earth is ultimately populated in a sex driven environment. Sex sells no matter what. Spencers has sex for sell. The ugliest things are those enormous women on Birthday cards. Its sadly funny. But it sells. Im not against what they are doing because hes trying to put a few more Enzos in his garage, but I certainly wont buy anything Girls Getting Drunk. I think I'll spend a few more bucks on ebay buying Obscure discs.

That is just sad...I think of all of my talented friends that can't get deals or have been dropped by sh*thead labels and then I see this....I have never understood the whole concept of these girls gone wild....is it just entertainment for guys that are too chickensh*t to buy porn?? A bunch of woman flashing their breasts?? Granted, I am queer, but I have no desire to buy a video of a bunch of drunk, obnoxious frat boys showing their penises...what a bunch of lame ¤¤¤¤¤s! What is it going to be?? I shudder to think what the music on it will be!!!

bottom line... there's a whole contingency of boobie addicts out there completely desentized to porn so they need to have that extra allure of thinking "wow, this girl is the age of the girl that snubbed me when I was at my pre-viagra peak".
it's all pretty pathetic. whatever happen to good old fashioned twisted porn where 30 something european women with armpit hair are blindfolding 20 year old men with over-sized tools?
really ~ i mean let's just call it what it is :
Pornography supports the digital domain.
Pornography is now part of pop culture.
Sexuality has been sold out and the MSG in our junk food is really Salt Peter.
"i just don't want to know anymore life shifts up and down everybody knows it's wrong why don't you care?" - skinny puppy
:( sorry, it's a dreary day... the truth is that i wont go down without a fight. i want my children to grow up and not have such a nihilistic view on life. i want them sensitized to violence. i want them sensitized to pornography.

Don't worry Swank, 'Drunken Sluts Gone Wild' will not last forever. They'll make the wrong move to some underage kids and get slapped with a huge lawsuit. Don't get me wrong, I like a good set of boobies, but there's a BIG difference between TV fodder and the real thing. :) Snoop Dog is tasteless anyway. Of course I rather have my kids watching women reveal their breasts than full intercourse. The first one seems like the lesser of two evils. How about none of the above instead.
Rustcwc: I think you might be onto something buddy. We could call it, "Co*ks Gone Wild" or "Queer Eye For The Straight Penis" featuring Rupaul. We're gonna be rich!!! :D

I didn't realize that ¤¤¤¤ was so popular? I guess it fits under the Michael Bolton Category, the guy sells Millions of CD's but I don't know anyone who owns a single one. But it's typical marketing. I'd rather touch with my girlfriends breast anyway, it's more fun then playing with the television screen.

I whole-heartedly agree with all of you but I'm not worried about this compilation idea. It sounds like a complete fad that won't go beyond its first release.
In my opinion the people behind GGW are obviously out just to make fast money but the girls who allow themselves to be involved in such idiocy is what worries me. Seeing just a few minutes of those infomercials makes me feel quite ill and scared the world is just about to end.
Have they no pride or decency?

Yeah I agree. It will probly be as big as that "Justin meets Kelly" American Idol movie.

Polar--its FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY, actually. I bought out all the copies at the local Blockbuster, along with the extended version of 'Glitter.' I tell you, we could make a fortune with Gardeners Gone Wild...all we have to do is cast it, have a few of the local talents here score it...sell it south of the border as Los Locos Jardineros!

And you didn't get 'Rock Star' with Mark Wahlberg. And the people of Mexico might take the whole Los Locos Jardineros the wrong way with all the landscaping they do in the States. I can just picture a video with a group of crazy Mexicans attacking each other with lawnmowers and Hoes. Sort of like the whole "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome"

What REALLY gets me is the guy who makes the Girls Gone Wild movies is so rich. He has a ferrari (spelling) his own private jet, he hangs out with Ashton Kutcher and banged Paris Hilton, what the hell? I hate that idiots like him get enough money to waste on a porche collection but there are people out there with actual talent who are struggling. I have no idea what the appeal of those movies are, buy porno like a real person!
