are you ComradeBurnout, Alex?

this would be the perfect show to go to right now... but i'm in dallas and cant go to Austin because of work and the fact that i have no car

can someone videotape it and put it on a dvd and send it to me? that would be nice

That I am not.
When I DJ I usually still go by Dj Alptraum.
He and I will be having a night here in Austin at Elysium on the 11th of December however called "Brave New World"
We'll both be spinning at that.

I will be performing with CTRL on the night mentioned above by Jason.
I joined up with the band a little while back and this will be my 3rd show with them.

It would be good to see you again if you could make it out. :)
Take care man!

Yeah.....
They played with Provision and Except Europa that time if I am not mistaken.
Dunno if they are gonna come back up there any time soon.
Tho, I'm thinking we might try and make it up there in the near future ;)

A lot of bands from Austin would play dallas again, but at the moment there is not a venue that is booking in the genres(electro/ebm/industrial/goth/synth pop)

so it makes it a bit difficult if you bleed into those relms.....the last Ctrl show in dallas was a year ago 12/6/2002

Red Blood club is no longer booking EBM/Synthpoppers? What happened? I guess I've been out of the loop. The last show I saw there was the Ctrl/Provision show last year.

Actually I think they still are.
You just have to talk to the management there.
The only difference is that I dont think the guys from Swarm are doing anything up there anymore.
Doesnt hurt to ask.

No it never hurts to ask, I have been attempting(without much luck) to contact the people that run Red Blood Club for some time now. Dallas is a hard town, not a very big market for new music, more of a retro town imo.

Well....
Then there is still Division One in Arlington that is run by Per and some other peeps now.
I still havent checked out Crave so I do not know if they can do shows there or not.

what Alex said about Red Blood Club is what i meant... Swarm isnt there so its not an open door to bands like what we are talking about.. but they do still book live bands

and about Crave.. its a small bar.. they do have a patio though... it would be possible for a band to play there i just dont know how good it would sound... its bigger than Orchid, smaller than Sand Bar... if that makes sense

and trying to explain what is going on with Crave and Division One is enough to get your tongue all twisted up so i wont even try

~Alptraum

Yeah...that makes perfect sense to me ;)
So red Blood and or DivisionOne it is.
