Good question arronc.
Back in the lates 80's there use to be a club called "6400" which was on the Richmond Strip. The Richmond strip was a popular area filled with clubs up until the mid 90's when it got flooded by thugs and lowriders banging Hip-Hop (Today's Youth Music). "6400" was a very popular club in Houston. From what I know from talking to people that got a chance to experience the club they told me that they played music by Section 25, Airplane Crashers, Nizter Ebb, (old) Ministry, The Smiths, Tribantura, Front 242, Colm III, M.C.L, C.C.P, Sandra, etc......they played all of the popular 12" dance vinyl. 6400 is just a newer term that we use here in Houston to decribe the music. I hope that somewhat answers your question. Maybe some people on this forum could tell you a little more about the club.
