She fades away is one of my absolute favourite songs with Alphaville. Marian's voice in that song brings you to heaven! :)

don't they sell many records lately? in brazil they're aparently very popular.


heaven or hell is another pretty song of that album.

Yesterday I listened to a lot of Alphaville songs and I remembered how amazing that band is. I'm a huge fan of melodies and this man is a genius creating them. When 'wishful thinking' is ending repeating 'sometimes I wish that you were dead' until it fades away, I feel this thing inside that's pretty hard to describe….in english.
I remembered that 'the mysteries of love' had one of the greatest moments of the music, that's when he says 'breaking the secret spells they put on us my love'…
It's like he never runs out of great melodies and he's an amazing voice. I don't remember hearing such a great voice since….em….sparks.
Then there is one song I can't exclude of this post: 'summer rain'. Talking about great tunes and beautiful vocals, how could it? I remember nights after nights melting with 'my golden circus girls all sailed away, the lion tamers are no longer due to play….'
A big hug to all of you, Alphaville fans. It's a great feeling to know that there are people who really appreciate such beauty.

A victory of love is an amazing song, that's so very true dear alejo. (Check out www.krapplund.com if you enjoy that song).

It took me some time to take that song to heart. But when I finally discovered the fantastic hidden within the song, I could do nothing else but love it! His voice is truly amazing and SO SEXY!

I totally agree with what you think about this song. It's a perfect track, from the very beginning to the last second.

Have you heard any other versions of this song, except for the album-version?

You know, I always loved Astral Body live.. Ooer, I hope that there is not only a party this August for Alphaville but that they do a concert too. I was so blown away by the intensity of the show I saw in Germany last summer. Live they sound awesome.
