What do you all think of the Live De/vison Cd and "I Regret" single? I have mixed reviews about them while I enjoy the Live Cd it dosen't really flow all that well in places I also would have liked a little more variety from all the albums. The "Regret" single in my opinion dosen't have any good remixes at all except the JAB mix but that was already on the Remixed album anyway. Whats up with DjRam and why does he get so much remix work? I have not heard one solid remix yet. In my opinion MidiHead blows him away as well as many others right here in our scene. I also thought it was dumb to have the same video on both disc's why not have the original video on one and the concert clips on another? The Live cd actually is worth the buying because there are some very cool versions that differ from the originals like "Strange Affection" and "We Fly..Tonight" lots of guitars and live drums that actually pump up some of the songs! So while if you are a fan it's a must but a shame because it could have been so much better if the " I Regret" single was better quality.

I have to agree.. I wasn't that impressed with the live cd either. And the only new remix that was really neat to me was the HMB Vocoder mix.

Lars, I agree with the DJ Ram comment. While I enjoyed some of his earlier remixes on the Synthphony CD's, I think he's probably a bit over-exposed now and his work is getting severely lazy. The last 5 or so mixes I've heard of his have been less than spectacular. And while I'll mute comments about his upcoming Virtual Server album, I think everyone can agree that the first was an admirable attempt, but didn't stand up to the test of time.

I'll post opinion on the live CD soon as it's at home in my shelf. I'm still getting through the so-far amazing efforts of Melotron. These guys are incredible.

I'm not agree with you guys.
Probably because you like old fashion style you prefer Synthphony remix albim of DJ RAM.
wich 5 last remixes you mean?
I like DJ RAM style and always try to find his remixes on web.

I have his last works for Colony 5, Cosmicity, Droom and Echoin Green and by my oppinion this remixes more better and modern then from Russian strike.
Of course it's a question of taste.
As for De/Vision by my oppinion - Dress Me Then I Bleed (DJ RAM Mix) is a best remix of DJ Ram for De/Vision.

And I will wait new album of Virtual Server.
Hope it would be released soon.

Alright, well, cool, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, bro. No worries.

My point was simply that where once a DJ Ram mix was sure to be a staple of quality; now, it's just like any other 'ordinary' remix. He's tried to experiment a bit too much with the newer mixes and I personally just don't feel it suits him as well. blah blah blah.

hello, it is not easy to remix this song. the basics where not the best of an uptempo number. this remix is the best remix i ever heard of this song. it works in the clubs as it should be.

I really liked the VNV Nation and the Backlash Remixs.

The LIVE album was also good, and alot better than I had anticipated ;)

I am a huge fan of DJ Ram and own practically everything he puts out, but I too was not too impressed with the DJ Ram remix of "try to foget".

Actually, I didn't expected much from this release. But it appeared to be one of the best singles for the last time! I like it a lot. The VNV Nation Remix is super! And the others too. And the live version of Blue moon! It is also a memory of a concert in Berlin! :) So, I think the idea to release this single was not so bad.

I enjoyed both the Live album and the "I Regret" single. The songs selected for the Live CD were great choices. My only complaint is that when I buy a live album, I like to hear the musicians sing, not the audience. This is especially evident on "Your Hands on My Skin".
I agree with Danics; the VNV Nation of "I Regret" is great.

thought the tracklist was better on the 95 - 96 cds. but i also prefer the older de/vision sound

I love the I Regret mixes quite a lot actually. I have yet to hear the live cd, but I'll be orderig that soon. I was impressed with what I saw in Weissenfels last year though. That are pretty good live.

I always wondered though.. Why do bands like De/Vision and Wolfsheim not come to play live in North America? Expecially when their releases are on Metropolis? Other bands come like Covenant, Melotron, VNV, etc..

The only band that I still have to see live is Wolfsheim.. If I ever get to arrgh! Alright, I know, I went off on a tangent..

Yeah, um, I quite love the I Regret mixes! Actually, I tend to love most of De/Vision's mixes. They're just one of those bands that always end up being remixed well. I am mad for not picking up the 2cd version of the remix album. Anyone know where I can get it? Argh..

Yes, "Live 95-96" CD is better than "Devolution Tour" CD. But that doesn't mean "Devolution Tour" is not worth your $.

Do yourself a favor (especially hose De/Vision fans outhere)....... get this awesome relase. Once again I think the album is solid although I don't really think the "I Regret 2003" CD is that great. Only a couple tracks are good. But that's just my personal opinion.

Bottom line: get "Devolution Tour" CD....it's not gonna disappoint you.

DINGERZ: Try to e-mail Todd @ADD, tell him that you're looking for the LIMITED EDITION of "Remixed" CD. He may still have few copies left. Good luck.

mmmmmm interesting of what I've been reading so far, I will have to pick up a copy of this album later this week ;). Although I really hate the limited editions, why not just releasing an album with a bonus disc makes it easier for the fans.

finally got it, it´s SO good, perfect!! I hope there will be some more live albums like this in the future with different setlist forexample. Josef Bach is God and Steffen´s singing is top notch.
Who does not like this album, can´t be probably happy with anything.

Oh, yes, SynthMaster, the VNV remix is great! The song sounds even more twisted than before. I absolutely love that remix!

I love the live album, that's what I'm waiting for years to be released! now I'm only waiting for a DVD with a FULL show, and maybe with all his videos too. :)

The "I Regret" single have some excellent tracks, but that H.M.B. vocoder mix I can't listen, sorry Jason. :)

My fave was the VNV remix, that was amazing!
but I like the others too... the JAB remix I prefer the version at Remixed album, but this "edit" version is also very good.

I like the live album, but it does get annoying hearing the fans sing the songs, like on "your hands on my skin." My favorite tracks are blindness, foreigner, strange affection, and especially we fly tonight. Great live cd, but not nearly as good the unplugged ep.

The remix cd I find less interesting. The vnv nation remix is great, as is the backlash remix, but the rest I didn't care for. I just think of it as a bonus cd and then it's not so bad. Now I can't wait for De/vision to come out with a new album!

I think the "I Regret" EP is a great incentive, kudos to Todd. Priced at only $14, what a bargain!
