MY NEWS
We just completed the second annual SLC Dark Arts Festival, which was great! More details at http://darkarts.utahgoth.net
To be honest, right now I’m under massive DJ Burnout Alert, and I wonder sometimes if I should even keep it up. It’s been 16 years since I started, and sometimes it just seems like I’m happier when I decide not to spin. But then I get excited again for a while. I am hoping to ride it out and maybe get a second wind.

| BIO: |
For me, it all started in a cramped, ugly radio station in northwest Louisiana, when the DJ had to go pee and asked me to watch the board. Although I don’t even remember who the DJ was, the song was Fear’s "More Beer." I have no clue why I remember that! A few months later, I got my own show, which I shared briefly with a bunch of other people, before settling into a "Two For Tuesday" slot with my best friend. From then on, I had a slot either ot myself or shared with another person for nearly 8 years. I went on to work as music director, news director, and program director for the same station, and loved almost every minute of it (except when I was on call to cover for slackers at 6am).
After leaving Louisiana and moving to Utah, I assume I’d never DJ again, until ’97 when a friend (SLC’s DJ Delilah) got a chance to DJ at her friend’s new club, Area 51, and asked me to work with her. Our Thursday Goth night was surprisingly popular, and did better than anyone had expected it to. Delilah left and was replaced with Jeremiah, then EvilK. Then we were moved from Area 51 to Sanctuary, a beautiful club in a former church. Our crowds are much smaller now, and Thursdays aren’t nearly as well attended as they once were. |
